LaVista Lions Fireman's Appreciation Banquet
Lion Jim Panner presents Jason Kron
with the Firefighter of the Year Award.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2008. the LaVista Lions Club held their Annual Firman's, EMT Appreciation Banquet. This program honors the outstanding Firefighter or EMT for DeKalb County.
This year's honoree was Fireman II, EMT Jason Kron. Kron is assigned to the Firestation at Chamblee Tucker Rd. and is also involved in Hazmat and Rescue. Krom was nominated by his superior, Capt. Darin Boozer who said that "He was a pleasure to supervise and work with."Firefighter Kron was accompanied by his wife Aspen. They have 2 children. Kron received a placque for his service, and a check was presented to his wife. Kron thanked his Captain for a great work environment and his wife for her support,
The program was attended by 32 members and guests. The LaVista Lions meet at Clairmont Presbyterian Church on Clairmont Rd. at 6:30 pm on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month. For membership information, please call Ray Baskette at 770-939-4340.
